 1830 Travel Advertisement for New Orleans

The schooner Clarion, captained by T. Smith,  master, will sail for New-Orleans all this week.

Featured Advertisement

1938 advertisement for the Big Chief Market in Massachusetts. The locations are listed as follows: 674 Brock Avenue, 315 Rivet Street (between Bonney and Orchard), and 74 Elm Street in Padanaram.

The advertisement showcases various grocery items, including chuck roast, sweet clover butter, platter-style bacon, and more.

Featured Billhead

Vintage billhead from Sisson Brothers-Weldon Co. to Mrs. Alice F. Day, 11 Wagner St., dated March 5, includes an electric percolator.

 Featured Heirloom

A touching handwritten letter from Elsbeth Kennon, dated April 29, 1945, addressed to “Babe.” This heartfelt note expresses profound concern for a loved one’s health and offers prayers for healing during a difficult time. 

 In the 1951 photograph, Mayor Cobo of Detroit is seated in the impressive Genevieve automobile.
